Fine movie with a great cast and director who needed a hit at that time and got it.

Glynis Johns passed away in January, 2024. She played the role of Winifred Banks and I do not think any other actress could have been better than Ms. Johns. Rest In Peace, Mrs. Banks.

The CGI in modern movies looks very fake. You can tell they are very poorly computer generated.

Hold on to your hats. Robert Downey, Jr. is planning a remake of Hitchcock's classic with him in the Stewart role. No names yet for Novak's role. The star of this film though was San Francisco - Before Tony Bennett lost his heart, before Scott McKensie invited the world to visit with flowers in their hair, before the Summer Of Love, before the 49ers won the Super Bowl, before Harry got dirty, before the Giants won the World Series. It was seeing the city for that moment in time that would bring me here decades later and fall head over heels in love with the City!

Fun fact: A lot of the airplanes have continuity errors. They first tried to use the original designs as much as possible, but were forced to modify them, because most were barely airworthy and not at all able to do what the production crew needed them to do.

At 17 seconds in, that must have been for the shot they tried to do of the capsized Poseidon surrounded by rescue ships at the end of the movie. I read they couldn't get it to look satisfactory and didn't put it in the movie.
